My Website Design Journey
Where it all began…
Once upon a time (about 6 years ago to be precise), I started managing a tiny little meditation center on the North side of Indy. And holy canoli! It was a complete 180 difference from my big corporate job as an analyst.
I learned very quickly about what it mean to have to juggle 10 different hats simultaneously while working on a shoestring budget. Over time, I also learned how to NOT needlessly overcomplicate things, because apparently I do that. I now consider simplification to be one of my primary self-care activities.

When I started managing the center, I inherited a WordPress website.
As a complete website newbie, I found it to be glitchy and difficult to learn. I did not know any code, and had zero technical background. Every time there was a problem, it would take up hours of my precious time that I needed to devote to other things.
Then, one day I discovered other, simpler platforms. Platforms that didn’t require any kind of coding to technical knowledge. Platforms that allowed me to easily make all the design changes I wanted glitch free and without hassle. I made the switch and have never looked back.
With the right platform, it turns out that managing the website has went from being one of the most stressful tasks to my favorite task! In fact, I enjoy it so much that I have started helping other small businesses with their websites as well.
This is one of my favorite pictures because if you look really closely, you can see how the Great Wall of China just goes on and on and on.
